The of the matter is that I did not feel better this morning. I am still sick and so Lesh has decided that we need a better room for me to recuperate in....actually what he means is that he would like the distration of cable tv while I sleep for hours in bed. Lesh went out early to look for a new place for us to stay. He was gone ages which didn't bode well for us. The first place he went was expensive but looked nice at $28, the next place had no windows for nearly the same price, then one was perfect but wouldn't allow the bikes?! And so it went on. Eventually Lesh just accepted that the first place was the best bet and he came back to get me. While he was gone I attempted to pack the bags up whiched totally zapped what little energy I had left, thus I was in a terrible mood by the time he got back...lord help me if I'd have got the short end of the stick.... Anyways we pack up the bikes and grumbling the whole way I make it to the New Ayre Hotel. Its a total rip off for $28 but it is 100% improvement on the YMCA. I quickly flick through the channels on the tv and there are 3 movie channels, fashion tv and ESPN...not a bad combination. I was disappointed tha there was no news channel and then I quickly reminded myself that CNN and BBC were hardly likely to be shown round here.

I got down to some resting which was not really fun as I kept wanting to be outside exploring this city and every day in bed seems like a day wasted :( Lesh has been busy popping in and out. He'll watch a film and then he will go down to the internet café. He has been busy building up our profile on www.couchsurfing.com Plus he has sent out a few messages to people to see if we can stay at their place which will save us $28! Amazingly there are about 20 registered people in Burma, so Lesh contacted 3 people and 2 of them replied by evening time! Coincidentally both are Swiss guys so we are not sure if they know each other well, probably they do. One guy Andreas replied that his house still has no power or water at the moment and so he is even staying at a hotel for the time being, otherwise he would have gladly offered us his spare bedroom. Manuel replied "you guys sound crazy, and I like crazy people!" and he has offered for us to stay with him. He has given us his address  and it is just a few streets down from where we are now which is great! Can't wait to meet our new couch surfing host tomorrow and to making a new friend along the way.
