22.02.2008 - Recommended to us by Justice - this place is really good value for those on a tight budget.
  • Location: 3/5 - close to the market area which was always good to see at night with all the hawkers and people milling about. However a bit of a trek to go to other places in town.

  • Cleanliness: 3/5 - The women came to clean everyday and gave the place a good sweep and mop - I know this because I was sick in bed! Hotel in general though was a bit tatty and shabby.

  • Room: 3/5 - good value for what we paid - but when you feel sick you tend to want to stay somewhere a bit nicer...so maybe I am going to be overly harsh with my markings. The bathroom was the main let down. Dark and dingy and always wet due to the cold weather....not very nice.

  • Food: 2/5 - breakfast is available for 20,000VND which is a bargain because you get eggs, bread, bananas, cheese, coffee, tea. I would have preferred to have cooked my own eggs as the ones she made me were swimming in oil. The hotel let us use the cooking facilities to make our own fried rice which was good of them.

  • Service: 5/5 - very helpful people. Always asking how I was since they could tell I was sick. Wrote out Vietnamese phrases that would help us when we left, knowledgeable on what there is to do and see round Dalat.

  • Price: 5/5 - I am not supposed to tell anyone that we only paid 80,000VND ($5) for the room as that is the old price and she only agreed to that because we came with a card from Justice.....oops......
